I haven't announced Poweramp for android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&hl=bg) till now, because it's not open source, not free, but... well, it's really good....

DeaDBeeF 1.0.4 stable for Android was released these days.
It plays SV8 perfectly, still does not support APEv2 tags, but this is a common issue for most players I've tried on Android :(.

You can add MusicBee manager/player to the list of supporting programs (it actually use bass libraries).
What about the idea to distinguish the programs with SV7 and SV8 support?

MediaInfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en) can be added to the list as well, maybe in section Others.
It supports even sv8 since February, 2008.
