Ive been scratching my head for a few hours now trying to get some of these programs to work. Ive got a few .mpc files and would either like to convert them to a more familiar format (mp3) or at least use a winamp plugin, which i also havent been able to get working. I tried the program listed at the top of the page a couple times and wasnt able to make it work. if somebody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

If you actually told anyone what didn't work for you in which program, someone could probably help you.

Hey guys, use Adobe Audition 2.0, you can convert any formats to other formats without converting to wav.
I have collection filters for Audition & i can convert my files with these filters: AC-3/DTS AUD FLAC LAME MOD Monkey's Audio MP1/MP2 MP4/AAC Musepack Ogg Vorbis MP3 WMA The True Audio WavPack VQF |

Sorry about that, I was somewhat tired and disgruntled when I wrote that post. Ok, Im using the "Free MPC" program found at: http://www.canudo.net/derelict/freempc/. I successfully downloaded it, figured out how to convert the program into a .jar file, but now am running into a bunch of problems with the "error message". The program's website suggests simply putting the file in a new folder and deselecting the read only box. However, when I do this, it seems to automatically REselect the box. If anyone can offer any assistance it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

You really don't need a professional audio editor to convert audio files...there are many small programs that allow you to convert files very easily. I don't know about issues with the FreeMPC program, but I know the following programs are very straightforward: theFrontend, or Frontah, and several others linked to from our Program Overview page (under Frontends & Taggers).

I've been trying, but I don't understand the softwares =P The Frontah soft seems to be the most familiar one, but I don't get how to tranform the files anyways :P I would aprpeciate if someone can give me his/her msn so I can do it :P |
