Can we encode mono mpc? mpc at 22 khz? My 22 khz mono wav become all 32 khz stereo mpc. I need to be able to play 2 tracks (1 mono and 1 stereo mpc) on a arm system. I compiled the lib with MPC_FIXED_POINT enabled.

Sorry for the late reply, I somehow missed this post.
Currently you can only encode to 32. 37.8, 44.1 or 48 KHz files. Since 32 KHz is not always supported by various applications or systems, you could resample your 22.05 KHz files to 44.1 KHz prior to encoding. For example using foobar2000's resampler, or SSRC. Even though the PCM file will be larger, the encoded file will be approximately the same size as it would have been at a lower sample rate (there's no additional high frequency content to encode, so the result is similar regardless of sample rate). |
