The Musepack team is looking for firmware programmers. The task at hand is adding MPC support to the Open Neuros project. CiTay discussed the issue with Joe Born, CEO of Neuros Audio, and it appears that they'll look at the possibility of contracting a programmer if there is interest in the job.
We have a few candidates, but we'd like to hear from anyone else who thinks they're equipped for the task. Feel free to contact me or CiTay and reply to the thread. This is an opportunity you can't miss. |

I have a question: since the Neuros' firmware source has been recently withdrawn as stated on http://open.neurosaudio.com/ could this hinder the process of bringing mpc support to the player? Or can you equally work on the source/give a hand?
Thanks, bye. |

That was just temporary. The CEO himself is behind this move and when we recommend a programmer to them, they'll get all the support the Neuros team could provide. I trust it is a pretty big event for them, just as much as it is for the Musepack fans.

Cane, that isn't the only place on the web with the source.

You can see that the Neuros dudes are indeed serious: http://open.neurosaudio.com/
Frank says it should not be hard for an experienced programmer. I'm sure that both the Neuros team and our team will push forward until it's a reality. I'll keep you all posted. |
