Default test release of new gui mpc player for the mac

I've cobbled together a very crude and minimal gui mpc player for the mac. It doesn't do much but load and play mpc files, but that part seems to work at least.

The very brave can grab a copy of the work in progress from here:

http://www.caddr.com/Xist-20050125.zip

Let me know if it works for you.

Right now you're probably better off with xmms.

Although I'm hoping to be able to do some cool things with this over time.

New version up: Xist-20050126

Excellent - Xist makes playing MPC on the Mac OSX soo easy

Previously didn't like to have to transcode to other formats and lose quality time & space before being able to hear the file

Like the fact that you can drag a folder of MPC onto the GUI and they will play in order 8)

However not all my MPC files will play on my Xist
- the app will just crash!
whether I individually choose or drag/drop individual files or folders

I thought it may have been the MPCs themselves but I can still use mpc2aiff 1.2 to transcode (using older and updated mppdec/mppenc) to aiff or wav - successfully

I include my crash log FYI

edited due to length: log

and thx again for developing this for the Mac!

I know that certain ape tags will crash Xist. It may be related to that.

Thanks for the bug report.
