Default Free?

I just recently discovered Musepack as an alternative to Lame mp3 and Ogg Vorbis(more like a replacement) But my question is this, I only use free codecs. All my library is encoded in either LAME or Vorbis, and it's this free open source theme that attracted me to Musepack(as well as the quality). Is Musepack to reamain free in the future? If not, how long before and what kind of costs will I be looking at to encode in Musepack?

Default YAY!

VERY, Very glad to hear that! As I was afraid that I would have to settle for a lesser codec.
