mpcgain: undefined symbol: mpc_reader_init_stdio

I tried running mpcgain --help (version 0.9.3, part of musepack-tools 475 on Arch Linux), and I got this error:

mpcgain: symbol lookup error: mpcgain: undefined symbol: mpc_reader_init_stdio

I tried building libreplaygain, libcuefile and libmpc from source (r477) but I still get the same issue. mpcenc works fine.

Update: I uninstalled all three packages and built from source again. In the case of libmpc I had to manually copy libmpcdec.so to the install path. Now mpcgain works properly.
