No way for managing bitrate like Ogg Vorbis & Wavpack Hybrid?

...is there a question?
bitrate management is mostly done through the --quality settings. musepack is a pure VBR format and there are no direct parameters to limit bitrate like --maxbitrate or --minbitrate type settings. what is the reason you want to do this? later |

I want to set bitrate to 128kbps & compare with other formats like: MP3, WMA, OGG, AC3.
And manage file size. And also i want ID3 Tag editor for Audition filter. What i must do? ![]() |

use --radio or --quality 4 for ~128
i don't know why you are asking for things unrelated to musepack on this forum. use APEv2 tags (if you must) on musepack files. later |

Ok.
I encode a file to quality 4. But the bitrate is 138 kbps. Last edited by Sina; 25 May 2007 at 10:36 am. |

There is no intention to add such an option. You'd compromise quality by doing that.
