Default WAV > MPC > WAV -- Same length?

I'm about to convert my > 250 GB of music loops I use for music to MPC for having an emergency backup (I know it's not lossless, but try backing up 250 GB and growing, I need to buy harddisks like I spend toilet paper then) ... now I know that MP3 has a problem recreating the exact length of audio when converting back to wav, this makes it impossible for archiving loops which need to seamlessy loop of course. Ogg Vorbis doesn't have this problem, but since a couple of people suggested that I should use MPC (is that correct?) for archiving, I wanted to know if MPC has this same problem. Can anybody answer this question please? Thanks in advance!

The problem doesn't exist with Musepack and Vorbis, true. If you intend to convert a lot of music, you should wait a few days for the new encoder version.
